  • 0.5 FTE (40 Hours per fortnight) rostered shifts Monday- Saturday

About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Haemodialysis renal team has become available., and applications are invited from Registered Nurses to fill this position. The successful candidate would be required to work a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts between Monday and Saturday.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The position is located in the Renal Unit, and you will be working alongside a team Haemodialysis and peritoneal Registered Nurses, Renal Consultant, Nurse Practitioner & Clerical Teams. The Renal Unit is a standalone state of the art specialist renal facility that was purpose built and opened in 2021.

About you

As a Renal Registered Nurse working in the Haemodialysis Unit, we are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes.

Preferably experience & knowledge in both Peritoneal and Haemodialysis

· A commitment to quality and excellence, with a proven ability to contribute to process improvement.

· Experience in problem solving, priority setting and planning.

· Ability to self-evaluate and reflect on practice

· Ability to safely use technical dialysis equipment and tools

· Preceptorship skills and experience

· The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and develop relevant networks.

· Ability to calmly manage challenging situations and behaviours

 · The ability to work with and be an effective team member

· NZ Drivers Licence
