About the Role

We are looking for Registered Nurses to join the team at STAR 4 Horowhenua Health Centre based in Levin, 45 minutes away from Palmerston North Hospital.

Hours of work are permanent part time (0.8FTE), working rostered shifts, including nights and 0.6FTE temporary for up to 12 months.

STAR 4 is a 20-bed rehabilitation ward for patients 16 years and over in the Horowhenua Health Centre, Levin, although most patients are over 65 years old. It is part of the MidCentral Healthy Ageing and Rehabilitation (HAR) Cluster based in Palmerston North and has links to the Community Elder Health Team. STAR 4 cares for a multitude of health consumers including palliative and end of life.

About you

Essential requirements include:

  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate 
  • Meeting the requirements of the NZ Nursing Council to practice
  • The ability to adapt easily in a changing environment
  • The ability to be flexible and prioritise
  • The ability to work effectively within a team
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills
  • The ability to function independently within the scope of practice 
  • A high degree of physical capacity
