Contract: Permanent, Part Time 0.8 FTE Rostered and Rotating

About the Role 

We - re looking for flexible, dynamic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our surgical nursing team to work in our General Surgery, Vascular, ENT and Ophthalmology Ward, at Wellington Regional Hospital. 

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate core competencies in nursing, and be keen to develop new skills and knowledge within a variety of surgical specialties. You - ll have a passion for surgical nursing, the ability to function efficiently in a large team and a desire to provide evidence-base quality nursing care.

About the Team/Service Location 

Ward 7 North at Wellington Regional Hospital is a 42 bed General Surgery, Vascular, ENT and Ophthalmology ward, providing a tertiary level service for acute and elective General and Vascular patients in Wellington and Kapiti Coast. 

About you 

  • 12 months surgical nursing experience preferable but not exclusive
  • Registered Nurse qualification
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment that values teamwork and dynamism
  • Candidates will need to have the legal right to work in New Zealand, and hold a current work visa.
  • All nurses employed by the Capital and Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) must have registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and maintain a current Annual Practicing Certificate as a registered Nurse.
