About the role
Seeking Registered Nurses to join the team in the Acute & Inpatient services (Covers AAU, Ward 1 and Ward 2) at Ashburton Hospital on a permanent part-time and casual basis.

The Acute and Inpatient service see a diverse range of presentations, ranging from Triage 1 for immediate resuscitation through to Triage 5 who require less urgent care. Experience in emergency/acute care work, phlebotomy and being cannulation certified is advantageous.
Ashburton Hospital is one of only four level three rural hospitals in the South Island, and the largest rural health facility in Canterbury.
About You
- Must have experience in providing a high level of emergency care, resus and clinical skills
- Confident practitioner with exceptional negotiating skill and knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a wide variety of people
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to problem solve across all clinical areas of Ashburton Hospital when required
- Ability to work well under pressure within the nursing team
Skills and experience
- Acute medical or surgical experience is essential
- A NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate
