Our Organisation:

Health NZ Counties Manukau is a dynamic and progressive organisation at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. We continue to work with others to achieve equity in key health indicators for Maaori, Pacific and communities with health disparities and will continue to develop and implement plans, based on local needs to improve the health and wellbeing of Counties Manukau region. Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.

We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. 

The Opportunity:

Our goal is to turn the Counties Manukau District’s vision of achieving health equity into a reality, by delivering the right care, at the right time, and in the right place, for our community. We have the largest Pacific and second largest Maaori populations in New Zealand with ages ranging 0-100+.

Based at Middlemore Hospital, an amazing opportunity is waiting for you in our 22-bed inpatient Medicine ward, located in Ward 31. This ward supports Haematology and General Medicine patients. We are looking for experience nurses to join our team!

Salaries are based on the NZNO Collective Agreement Registered Nurse Scale

About you:

  • NZ Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate
  • 1+ years experience in a large hospital environment in NZ (post registration)
  • Haematology with chemotherapy administration experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
