About the role
This role is responsible for assisting the RMO Unit in providing an end to end seamless and transparent Annual RMO Recruitment Cycle service to clinical services
The RMO Unit Recruitment Coordinator will provide recruitment activity support, by way of providing coordination and administration support during the Annual RMO Recruitment Cycle (ARC) and arranging RMO orientation for RMOs who commence during the year as well as the annual sessions.
Key responsibilities are (but not limited to) the following:
- Coordinating the requirements for Orientation, liaising with relevant services, eg IT access, Name badges, ID Cards.
- Facilitate relocation services and request approvals according to employment agreements and policy
- Collating references and connecting with incoming candidates who have questions
- Supporting candidates employed through the ARC to obtain registration with Medical Council of NZ
- Coordination of the transfer of salary details for incoming RMOs transferring to or from other districts
- Coordination of Medical Indemnity Insurance database
- Administration of the South Island Basic Physician Training Programme
Competing priorities are inherent in this role; therefore it is absolutely essential you have the flexibility and demeanour to prioritise and reprioritise your workload to suit the dynamic needs of the service.

Ideally you will bring the following skills and experience:
- Previous administration or coordination experience
- Strong computer skills are essential
- Have a high level of accuracy, judgment and maintaining confidentiality
- Be a fast learner who retains knowledge as well as anticipating roadblocks
- Excellent time management, prioritisation, interpersonal and organisational skills
- A flexible approach with the ability to successfully prioritise your workload
- Previous experience in Recruitment, HR Administration or the health sector would be desirable
