About the Role

Nelson Hospital Theatre Suite consists of 6 Operating Theatres with a Recovery Room, a Sterile Services department and Endoscopy suite. We are a friendly and supportive team focusing on providing a caring and professional environment, delivering quality care and extended nursing practice. 

Surgical specialties covered include: General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental, Acute/Trauma, Paediatrics, Plastics and Vascular. 

PACU experience is preferred, but is not essential, as training can be provided for the preferred candidate.

About you

You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC and post registration experience working with a multi-disciplinary PACU team. You will have a positive attitude, an innovative and adaptable approach to practice, excellent communication skills and a real commitment to providing quality patient-centred care. You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
