Job Description

The Role 

Are you looking to get your foot in the door with a company that's been shaping the Manawatu's infrastructure for over 60 years? We're looking for enthusiastic learners and team players to join our client's roadmarking crew. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to work outdoors, develop new skills, and potentially secure an ongoing role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with measuring and marking out road surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Hold string lines and help guide precise road markings.
  • Load paint tanks and beads, ensuring materials are ready for use.
  • Drive a ute or truck to transport equipment to various sites (Class 2 license preferred).
  • Support the road marking team by performing manual tasks and following safety protocols.
  • Help manage traffic and assist in maintaining safe working conditions. 

Hours and Days 

Sunday to Thursday

10-12 hour shifts 

What We're Looking For

  • No experience in road marking is necessary but is preferred
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, day or night.
  • A valid Class 1 full driver's license is required; a Class 2 license is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual labour, including lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Flexible to switch between day and night shifts, with night shifts being Sunday to Thursday (10-12 hours per shift).
  • Any Traffic Management tickets (e.g., TC or STMS) are a bonus.
