Join a global freight provider in NZ, known for reliable service, a supportive culture, and long-term career growth in international trade solutions.

Sales Support – Freight Forwarding
Are you ready to play a critical role in supporting commercial operations within a leading freight forwarding business? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and stable company that values reliability, attention to detail, and long-term career development.

About the Role
As a Sales Support team member, you'll be responsible for handling daily quoting tasks, managing tenders, and supporting the sales and key account management teams. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate service delivery while maintaining control of your own workload. This is a high-trust environment where autonomy and initiative are essential.

What You'll Bring
We're looking for a reliable, experienced individual with:

  • 2–3 years of freight forwarding experience, particularly with FCL, LCL, and a solid understanding of shipping terms
  • Proven experience in managing 5–10 quotes per day, including tenders and rate uploads
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and CargoWise (preferred, but not essential – training available)
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and communicate effectively with internal teams

Key Behaviours for Success

  • Independence and Accountability: Able to manage your own work, make decisions, and contribute without needing micromanagement
  • Team Player: Comfortable working in a close-knit team and using support networks when needed
  • Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy in quoting, pricing, and communication
  • Proactive Communication: Keeps stakeholders informed and collaborates effectively across departments

Why Join Us?

This business values individuals who are committed for the long term. You'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and explore potential career paths internally in a supportive, development-focused environment.
  • Career Development: Internal pathways into Key Account support or broader commercial roles
  • Supportive Culture: Tight-knit, collaborative team with leadership that supports flexibility and initiative.
  • Work-Life Balance: Hybrid working options and flexibility within a supportive environment
