We’re working with a dynamic business based on Auckland’s North Shore that’s ready to bring on an experienced Sales Manager to lead their high-performing sales function through its next phase of growth.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for guiding a motivated team of account managers, driving revenue, and unlocking fresh commercial opportunities. You’ll be as comfortable implementing sales cycles and training as you are rolling up your sleeves to coach your team in the field.
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of success — someone who understands the rhythms of a structured sales cycle and knows how to energise a team around targets.
A background or genuine interest in the travel or tourism would give you a head start.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading a team of salespeople, helping them develop and consistently exceed expectations
- Building strategies to grow revenue, retain key clients, and win new business
- Creating structure around reporting, forecasting, and sales pipeline discipline
- Championing a high-performance culture that celebrates results and continuous improvement
- Representing the business at key industry events, building profile and credibility in market
- Proven success in leading sales teams and driving consistent growth
- Confidence in managing and growing B2B partnerships
- The ability to coach, mentor, and inspire a team to meet and exceed ambitious goals
- Commercial savvy, resilience, and the ability to make things happen under pressure
- A strong understanding of client dynamics, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
