The SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Manager is responsible for effective management of SAP PM functions and the resolution of complex problems and issues to ensure the integrity of SAP data as a key part of NZDF Corporate systems.
This integral role analyses emerging trends and provides forecasts to assist supply chain management, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), equipment managers and general SAP users decision-making across NZDF.
This role is based in Trentham, close to the Military Camp. You will work alongside likeminded colleagues who manage equipment that is critical to New Zealand's defence.

To be successful in the role, you will need to be an expert in SAP PM and very confident is your knowledge as you will provide technical advice to colleagues at other camps and bases across Aotearoa.
You will be confident building strong working relationships, happy to share your knowledge as well as learn from others about their business needs.
Ideally you will have leadership experience as you lead a team of 6 who are geographically dispersed across NZDF's Camps and Bases. Please ensure you have no issues with being able to travel domestically on a regular basis.
It would be advantageous if you have experience working in a logistics environment, have some financial and budgeting knowledge.
You need to have a Class 1 Full Driver's Licence.

To be eligible for the required level of government security clearance with the NZ Defence Force, you need to meet certain citizenship and residency criteria. Here's what you need to know:
Higher Level Security Clearance
- You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
- At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last ten (10) years.
- You must have a ten (10) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
