- Greenfields AI Security Consultant opportunity
- Auckland (Penrose) based with hybrid working
- 6mth+ contract
Our client, a large scale enterprise level health sector business is establishing a new AI Security and Enablement capability to support and uplift existing security teams and practices across NZ.
You will drive AI Security capability uplift, lead Cybersecurity AI enablement, ensure AI consultation and represent cyber risk strategy and Governance.
The preferred candidate will have the following skills and experience to be successful in this role:
- A tertiary qualification in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science or related fields.
- A postgraduate qualification in AI, data science, ethics or security is advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in cybersecurity, including at least 2 years in AI security, assurance or governance.
- Proven experience in delivering or advising on secure-by-design systems involving AI/ML.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build cross-functional consensus.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant frameworks (NZISM, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, PSR).
- Understanding of AI ethics, fairness, transparency and accountability principles.
- Experience in a public sector or regulated environment preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, or AI-related credentials.
This role will suit an AI Security Consultant who thrives working and collaborating as part of a close security team. Auckland based candidates are preferred but Wellington based contractors will also be considered.
All candidates will ideally be available to commence work at short notice with full NZ working rights (NZ Citizens or Permanent Residency).
