About the Role

We have an opportunity available to join our regional Te Manawa Taki team as a Senior Administration Support for members of our Regional Leadership team. This position provides Senior Administration Support duties to both the:

  • Kaitātaki Group Manager Community and Whānau Wellbeing, and
  • Kaitātaki Group Manager Health Protection.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide business management support to the Kaitātaki Group Managers that enables the efficient and effective management of information, processes and systems between the teams and districts reporting up to the Kaitātaki Group Manager and support information flows between Tier 4 Managers and Leaders across the Region.

About you

You have proven experience in a senior administrative support to a number of senior executives and their team to enable the efficient delivery of key services across the region.  You are also able to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a timely, and accurate manner.  Your ability to actively champion and gives effect to Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022 and the obligations of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and WAI2575 will make you an ideal candidate for this role.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or comparable experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior administrative role 
  • Proven experience in administrative support of a senior leader 
  • Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.  
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, the specific relationship under te Tiriti Waitangi, and Health NZ's role in improving outcomes for iwi and Māori communities 
  • Understanding and experience working in partnership with Pacific communities
