Job Description
I am recruiting for a Senior OIAs Advisor, for a short-term contract role in a specialist OIAs team at a government agency. The focus of the role is drafting OIA responses.
The role is an hourly-rate contract, based in central Wellington, offering a hybrid flexible model (in Office 3-4 days, WFH 1-2 days).
You’ll need to be available to start ASAP upon accepting an offer (ie, in the first half of May); the contract duration is through to the End of July 2025.
Essential skills and experience required for this role:
- significant experience in handling and drafting responses to complex / high-risk OIAs (Official Information Act requests)
- sound working knowledge of applicable legislation including the Privacy Act and the Official Information Act
- sound knowledge of the New Zealand Machinery of Government (you have previously worked in an NZ government agency)
- great writing skills
- great initiative, multi-tasker, comfortable with fast pace, high volume work & some ambiguity
- great stakeholder relationship skills.
