This is a chance to join a great team of engaged and committed people who make it possible for us to deliver our key policy and other work. This role will be a fixed term until the end of September 2025.
Your role will provide critical support for the operation of the Policy and Te Tiriti Branch.
Policy and Te Tiriti Branch provides policy advice across a diverse range of areas focused on gambling and racing, media content and online safety, digital identity and community affairs, as well as local government policy. We oversee the Department's Te Tiriti settlement obligations and commitments and engagement with Māori, iwi, hapu and whanau, including accord partners.
The Branch Performance team you will join is responsible for planning and reporting for the Branch. The team supports the running of a strong and effective Branch. Our work includes:
- Branch business planning
- Annual Review and Estimates select committee hearings and house debates
- Oversight of non-financial performance reporting
- Branch level risk
- Support for Branch governance
