As a Structural Engineer with a passion for civil infrastructure, you'll take the lead on a wide range of projects - bridges, water and wastewater tanks, retaining walls, wharves, culverts, towers, and more.

You'll be involved in every stage of project delivery, from preliminary concept and detailed design through to construction monitoring and structural assessments. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys technical depth and variety across infrastructure design, while working alongside a high-calibre team of engineers and project managers.

You’ll collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure the delivery of practical, code-compliant and buildable solutions, and be supported by a leadership team known for technical rigour and project excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Structural design and analysis of a wide range of civil infrastructure, including; Road and pedestrian bridges (concrete, steel, timber), Water and wastewater treatment structures, Reservoirs and tanks (including prestressed and post-tensioned concrete), Wharf and port infrastructure, Retaining walls, culverts, towers, and foundations
  • Carrying out seismic design and assessment of both new and existing structures
  • Performing structural inspections and preparing assessment reports
  • Leading technical input on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Liaising with contractors and clients during construction for site inspections and RFI responses
  • Preparing clear, high-quality technical documentation, calculations, and client presentations
About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in civil/infrastructure structural design
  • Strong understanding of NZ design codes 
  • Proficient in structural analysis and modelling software
  • Familiarity with reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel and timber design
  • Experience with site-based construction monitoring and structural inspections
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and in team settings
  • CPEng or working towards it would be advantageous
