About the Role

As a Senior Claims Specialist, you will take ownership of managing claims from start to finish. This includes assessing policy coverage, investigating claims, and ensuring timely resolutions that balance customer satisfaction with business objectives. You will also work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to manage high-risk and complex claims effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Claims Management:

  • Process, evaluate, and conclude incoming insurance claims within your assigned area.
  • Interpret policy coverages and ensure claims are settled in line with guidelines.
  • Identify and escalate potentially fraudulent claims for investigation.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, service providers, and internal teams.
  • Respond to client requests promptly and professionally, meeting service standards.

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Partner with Technical Claims Officers, and other experts to manage high-risk and complex claims.
  • Contribute insights on claims trends to underwriters and risk assessors.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately maintain records and provide timely reporting on claims activities.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience:

  • 5 years in insurance, particularly in claims management.
  • Experience with liability insurance (e.g., general, public, or professional liability) is a must have.
  • Familiarity with insurance guidelines, policy coverages, and claims processes.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and fraud detection.

Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and negotiation capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
