Job Description
Our client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Communications Advisor to join the team until mid 2025.
We are looking for someone with strong stakeholder experience, preferably banking or insurance; that is able to turn complex policy into plain language key messages; some experience with media desirable.
The purpose of this role is to support the successful delivery of projects through the provision of communications and stakeholder engagement activities.
The senior communications adviser works closely with the Project Managers, project teams and the business units within the company and is responsible for producing high quality targeted collateral, contributing to strategic communications and engagement plans and delivering best practice communications and engagement programmes to support an in-flight project.
Deliverables/skills required:
- Ensure that all project-related communications reflect a consistent and accurate use of specialised language adapted to the needs of the intended audience.
- Provide timely and appropriate communication and engagement advice
- Identify risks and work in collaboration with others to mitigate them
- Support the planning and delivery of communication and engagement plans, ensuring our stakeholders are well-informed
- Ensure all communications are consistent with the project Communications and Engagement Strategy
- Develop communications activities and collateral to support stakeholder understanding of the project
- Craft stakeholder communications to reach key stakeholders and audiences, both internal and external
- Develop communications collateral that clearly articulates complex technical and/or legislative-type information in an easy-to-understand manner
- Undertake other tasks as directed by the Project Manager(s) and Strategic Communications and Engagement Lead, as agreed.
