Survivor Experiences Service
Te Tari Taiwhenua provides continued support to Survivors of abuse in care through the Survivor Experiences Service.
The Survivor Experiences Service provides a safe, supportive, confidential place for Survivors to share their experiences of abuse in care, to support healing. The Service supports Survivors to locate and obtain their personal records related to their time in care.
Senior Communications Advisor role
As the Senior Communications Advisor you will be responsible for developing a deep understanding and knowledge of the operations of the business and the people it serves.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Skills to produce tactical communications, including print and digital collateral, that best reaches marginalised communities particularly Māori, Pacific Peoples, disabled people, and Deaf.
- Strategic communications experience in a variety of organisations across the public sector with demonstrable results.
- Relationship management and influencing skills at many levels of an organisation.
- The ability to work, integrated with the Service teams, to strengthen communications capability, and ensure communications meet evolving business needs.
- Resilience and empathy with emotional strength, sound judgement and tact in dealing with complex and sensitive issues.
- The ability to expertly manage complex issues and projects, and to make sense of quickly evolving situations.
You'll be joining a team passionate about supporting Survivors of trauma from abuse in care. This is a new role giving you the ability to continue to shape the communications strategy to meet the needs of the Service.
