A highly respected research-led consultancy, BERL provides independent economic and policy research grounded in rigorous research methods, comprehensive data analysis and solid evidence. They work with clients to provide economic analysis, including impact assessments, custom dashboards, economic forecasting, modelling, social value measurement and more.
They’re on the lookout for a consultant or senior consultant who can grow with the business. As a senior consultant, you will have an existing client network and will also work with clients to understand their research needs and shape the scope and research design. You’ll lead the projects end-to-end and have responsibility for the outcomes and the narrative.
As a consultant, you will work with project leads, contributing to research scope development and research method design. You’ll undertake research tasks, including data collection and analysis. You will apply both qualitative and quantitative analysis-including advanced techniques-to solve client problems and report research results clearly and accurately.
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Experience within a consulting environment
- A high level of technical research competence, preferably with a post graduate degree and 5+ years’ experience for a senior consultant or 2+ for a consultant
- Knowledge of and experience with a wide range of research methodologies with a specialty in econometrics a plus
- The ability to draft well-structured and evidence-based reports and professional presentations
- Confident communication skills with peers, clients and/or public audiences at the appropriate level for the role.
