Currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support a Wellington based organisation on a mission to support the everyday lives of New Zealanders.
This organisation has modern Azure based infrastructure. In this role, you will lead designing and developing data infrastructure to allow data to be accessible and used effectively across the organisation.
I am looking for a candidate that has a combination of both strong technical and communication skills as you will work across the organisation to understand how data is used and collaborate with Vendor partners to deliver platform upgrades.
About the role:
- Lead the collaboration across teams to identify, design, and present scalable options for data engineering solutions including ETL, Pipelines, and Storage.
- Monitor and maintain data platform and APIs.
- Develop data cubes, tables, views, and stored procedures on the data platform.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years relevant experience in data engineering
- Demonstrated experience with Azure platform including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure API Manager
- Ideally confident with SQL, C# (for APIs) and Python (for data).
- Knowledge of data modelling techniques and design principles
- Knowledge of ETL and system integrations techniques within Azure
