  • Based in our Petone office close to the beach and cafes

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.

The remuneration midpoint for this role is $125,755 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

This role will provide you an opportunity to make a difference through optimising 3 Waters distribution across the Wellington Region. You will take the lead on strategic planning and delivering network investigations that will ultimately lead to improved reliability of drinking water supply for the community and environmentally safe and efficient distribution of wastewater.

With a strong emphasis on collaboration, this role will also see you:

  • lead challenging and interesting investigations across 3 Waters networks
  • be involved in tactical planning across the regions pump stations and reservoirs
  • mentor and develop graduate and intermediate engineers
  • support the capital program and investment planning processes for our client councils.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification such as Chartered Professional Engineering (preferred), Bachelor Engineering or Diploma in Engineering (preferably Environmental Natural Resources or Civil Engineering)
  • Strong technical knowledge across the 3 Waters industry
  • Sharp investigative skills with a solutions focus
  • Excellent relationship management skills to compliment your strong communication skills
