Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role

We are looking for an experienced Analyst to join our Client Analytic team within ACC's Analytics and Reporting function.

Client Analytics provides data, insights and advice that empower our customers to make data-driven and evidence-based business decisions, ultimately supporting ACC clients on their recovery journey.

Through collaboration, we aim to enhance business understanding and drive positive change with relevant analytics, and insights - with claim and client level data.

If you're an experienced Analyst with well-developed skills in Statistical Modelling, Problem Solving, Project & Relationship Management and written & visual Analytics, then we'd love to hear from you.

As a Senior Insights Analyst in the Client Analytic team, you will be responsible for developing effective solutions for organisational performance monitoring, translating data into meaningful recommendations, insights and information products, development and maintenance of operational and predictive models which enable our key stakeholders to make informed business decisions. You will be curious, enjoy questioning the status quo and enjoy working in an organisation with a true appetite and mandate for transformational change.

What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role:

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills along with business and analytical writing skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to think conceptually, and to translate new and emerging ideas into evidence-based insights and analysis.
  • Good data visualisation and storytelling skills.
  • Strong relationship management and leadership qualities such as mentoring, coaching, and end-to-end delivery.
  • A high level of initiative and the ability to challenge the status quo.

Technical skills

  • A strong understanding, experience with data, querying databases and use of analytical tools and statistical techniques. Experience using SQL, Power BI and other data analysis tools
  • Desired but not necessary - a tertiary qualification in Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Maths & Computer Science, Commerce or other related field, with minimum of three year's relevant work experience.

The salary range for this role is $106,351 - $131,077 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.
