H2R Technology is delighted to partner with Neptune North to recruit a Senior Java Developer to join their growing NZ based Software Development team.
You will be joining a highly seasoned locally based development squad to provide a high level of Java Development expertise.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop industry-leading Java solutions to the highest standards
- Work closely with business users to identify improvements and enhancements
- Challenge the status quo – contribute ideas, improvements, and innovation
- Collaborate across tech teams to deliver cohesive, integrated solutions
- Spend 80% of your time on new development and 20% supporting and improving existing systems (including direct user support)
What Makes a Great Candidate
- Strong Java development expertise (Java 8+ required, Java 17+ preferred)
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Capable of owning the full development lifecycle – from requirements to release
- Culturally aligned to solve the whole problem, not just write code
- Interest in understanding Calypso functionality and financial instruments
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A strong academic background – minimum 2.1 degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar, with top-tier A-levels (or international equivalents)
