· Permanent Senior Occupational Therapist / Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau,

· Part-time to Full-time role (0.8 - 1.0FTE – 32 - 40 hours per week, preferably working Monday to Friday)

· Inpatient Rehab Team, North Shore Hospital / Te Whatu Ora Waitematā /Health NZ

About the Role

Are you an experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist looking for a leadership opportunity? We invite you to join our dedicated team on the Older Adult Assessment, Treatment, and Rehabilitation Ward at North Shore Hospital.

In this senior role, you will be instrumental in driving clinical excellence and leading a passionate team of Occupational Therapists within an Interdisciplinary team. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with other Seniors, the Clinical Coach, Rehabilitation Advanced Clinician, Clinical Leaders, Team Manager, and Professional Clinical Leader to drive patient-centred care and elevate team performance.

About the Team/Service/ Location

We work as a tight knit team of Occupational Therapists within a wider inter-disciplinary team providing rehabilitation services across different wards at North Shore Hospital.

About you

Key Skills and Attributes for this role include:

  • New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist with a current annual practicing certificate
  • 5 years post graduate experience, including two years in an inpatient physical health setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in current or previous roles
  • Experience working with complex patients to facilitate discharge planning and positive patient outcomes
  • Ability to work in a complex and changing environment and demonstrate resilience
