About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist with an interest in cardio-respiratory physiotherapy to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills while contributing to our established research culture within the Respiratory Outpatient Service. Post-graduate education is actively encouraged and supported, alongside opportunities for research, student and peer supervision.
You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing respiratory care to youth and adults with a range of conditions, including asthma, bronchiectasis, and COPD. Additionally, respiratory physiotherapy is offered across various health environments for youth and adults with neuro-muscular conditions. There are also opportunities to contribute to other interdisciplinary clinics and services, including pulmonary rehabilitation, and clinics for people with disordered breathing clinics, as well as complex case clinics. These services are provided across multiple sites within the Counties Manukau catchment area, including the community.
Our innovative teams focus on delivering better, faster, and more accessible care for patients with respiratory conditions, while also supporting broader cardio-respiratory physiotherapy services. The team includes senior physiotherapists, advanced physiotherapy practitioners, nurse manager, and respiratory nurses, respiratory consultants, and physiotherapy assistants. The wider network of care providers includes community stakeholders, non-profit organisations, and tertiary care providers.
Essential:
- New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with current APC
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a physiotherapist for senior clinician or a minimum of 6 years experience as a physiotherapist for advanced clinician
- A minimum 6 - 9 months experience in cardio-respiratory physiotherapy
- Full, clean driver’s licence
