Senior Physiotherapist: Early Discharge and Rehabilitation Service (EDARS)
Part-time – Fulltime (0.5 – 1.0FTE) – Permanent 
Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora - Waitematā 
Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge?
We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to work in our Early Discharge and Rehabilitation Service (EDARS). EDARS focuses on providing a comprehensive and coordinated home-based rehabilitation service for people in the Waitematā community. The service delivers individually prescribed rehabilitation to patients, based on their specific needs and goals via either intensive early supported discharge or less intensive community-based rehabilitation to adults in Waitematā.
The position(s) can be based at Waitakere Hospital or at the North Shore Community offices in Takapuna. You will be working as part of an established inter-disciplinary team providing best practice rehabilitation through a patient centred approach to adults of all ages. EDARS provides rehabilitation for adults with acute neurological conditions/surgeries, post stroke, people with recent amputations, and reconditioning following medical-illness.

This will include:
• Support of your personal objectives
• Education to be able to provide staff with professional development
• Learning opportunities to foster service development and leading quality care
• Training to provide professional supervision to staff
• Credentialing for weekend work if desired
• Weekly in-service training
• Networking with clinical leaders, seniors, and staff grades across the organisation
• Regular individual professional supervision for support and mentoring
• Opportunities to be involved in teaching and training for non-Allied Health staff
• Opportunities to implement and develop new patient care models and service development.

Key skills and attributes for this role: 
• New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with current APC
• 5+ years relevant rehabilitation experience
• Strong teaching, communication, leadership, and coaching skills to work alongside staff to support and develop their clinical reasoning and autonomy.
• Experience in service development and quality improvement projects.
• Effective leadership and people skills
• Strong role model with advanced communication skills
• Excellent assessment and time management skills
• Experience with leadership/senior roles in the past or present
