CRM or SharePoint whizz? Influence the future of digital enablement at the FMA

At the Financial Markets Authority (FMA), our work has real meaning and impact. As kaitiaki (guardians) of New Zealand's financial services system, we help shape a market that delivers fair, transparent and trusted outcomes for all.

Our Operational Excellence & Enablement group empowers this purpose by providing the data, systems and ways of working that underpin our regulatory effectiveness. We're evolving to become a strategic, cloud-first function focused on innovation, adaptability and value delivery.

We're looking for two experienced digital professionals, one with a knowledge management and SharePoint skillset and the other with deep technical CRM expertise. This is your chance to contribute to high-impact change at a pivotal time when our remit and ability to make a positive difference continues to expand.

Te Tūranga | The Roles

  • Senior Platform Analyst - Knowledge Management & SharePoint focus

Drive business process improvement and best practice knowledge management across the FMA utilising your well-honed SharePoint expertise. You'll apply your technical expertise to platform administration, user support, data management and continuous improvement—ensuring SharePoint and other related systems are reliable, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs. This is a hands-on role that helps drive smarter ways of working across the FMA.

  • Senior Technical Business Analyst - CRM focus

Drive the delivery of user-focused digital CRM solutions by translating complex business needs into actionable technical requirements. Collaborate with product leads, architects, and delivery teams across the full project lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, training and rollout.

This hands-on role blends analytical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to align business goals with technical outcomes. You'll be responsible for functional aspects of Dynamics 365 projects. With a deep understanding of CRM and data, you will understand customer requirements, analyse business processes, perform fit gap analysis, create functional requirements and solution designs, perform functional testing, conduct user training where required, and support application build, test and deploy activities. You'll ensure solutions are valuable, robust and well adopted, while contributing to continuous improvement and capability uplift across the team.

He kōrero mōu | About you

You're a collaborative, forward-thinking technologist with the determination to understand the business and how our systems can be optimised to deliver maximum value.

You'll also bring:

  • Understanding of cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, DevOps, Dynamics) and enterprise IT environments.
  • Deep understanding of MS Dynamics and configuration.
  • Knowledge of system integration, data flows and platform administration.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to break down complex issues and design user-centred, technically feasible solutions.
  • Experience in process modelling, business capability mapping and documentation.
  • Proven ability to operate with a strong bias toward delivery, supporting agile and iterative practices.
  • Ability to align technical solutions with business goals for long-term value.
  • Strengths in facilitating workshops, discussions and managing relationships across diverse audiences.

…and for the CRM role you'll need:

  • Proven experience with Dynamics 365 CRM/Customer Engagement gained in multiple full lifecycle delivery projects.
  • Experience gained through the implementation and maintenance of complex customer projects.
  • Understanding of the broader Microsoft stack and applying this to customer solutions (PowerPlatform, Azure).
  • Sound DevOps experience.

Ngā painga | What we offer

We're proud to offer a workplace where you can thrive professionally and personally. Our benefits include:

  • 4% employer KiwiSaver contribution.
  • Comprehensive health and life insurance.
  • Additional paid leave during the Christmas period.
  • The option to swap public holidays for days that hold personal significance.
  • Generous parental leave benefits.
  • Robust learning and development opportunities — from leadership development to technical training.

At the FMA, we're dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and free to be their authentic selves.
