  • Full salary range $107,000 – $142,000 dependent on experience

 

Ko ake mahi - What you'll do

The Family and Community policy team works on a range of complex social sector issues that include a health dimension or influence health outcomes. Areas currently covered by the team include:

  • child and youth health
  • aged care and the health of older people
  • how the health system responds to the needs of children and young people in care and youth justice settings
  • the Government's response to the Royal Commission into abuse in care and faith-based institutions
  • family violence and sexual violence
  • other work involving connections between the health system and other areas of government policy including immigration, education, and welfare.

 

Ko pūkenga - What you'll bring

For this role you will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a health, policy or relevant field and/or equivalent experience
  • At least two years' experience in a Senior Policy Analyst position or equivalent role
  • Thorough understanding of public policy, government processes, and structures
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to ask probing questions to uncover underlying information, and apply analytical frameworks
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience working with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Due to the nature of our work with Ministers and the wider organisation you will need to be based in Wellington for this position.
