About the role:
This position will assist the organisation in achieving optimal value-for-money, fostering innovation, and enhancing outcomes by coordinating, administering, and managing end-to-end tendering processes.
The Senior Advisor will offer guidance on purchasing and tendering procedures, as well as support the implementation of solutions aimed at improving efficiency and reducing cost.
The organisation is based in Te Awamutu, Waikato, and offers 2 days working from home — making it a suitable option for someone living in South Auckland.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Tender development and process management
- Provision of procurement/contractual/commercial advice
- Procurement and category planning and analysis
- Contract drafting and negotiation
- Contract maintenance
- Supporting Takiwā and Uepu with supplier performance management and contract reviews
- Contract variations
- Process/contract model improvements
About you:
- Experience leading and running end-to-end tender and bidding processes
- Skilled in contract management and business writing
- Broad knowledge of procurement concepts, methodologies, and commercial practices
- Actively engages in cultural activities and is open to understand āhuatanga Māori
- Prepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo and āhuatanga Māori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavour
