The Water Services Authority - Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Māori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Māori Advisory Group. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
We're seeking an engaged Senior Relationships Advisor, Community Supplies. You'll be joining our organisation in a key role where you'll work with a wide variety of community water suppliers including hapū, iwi, Māori and rural water suppliers to understand and identify issues and opportunities facing those communities. Additionally, you'll play a key role in understanding needs of the community suppliers' sector and identifying what advice and education is required to help ensure safe drinking water for community suppliers.
You'll be adept at building trusted, meaningful relationships and be comfortable communicating technical advice to a variety of suppliers.

We're looking for someone with:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage, collaborate and influence our suppliers
- An understanding of the New Zealand drinking water system and basic technical knowledge of water systems and structures
- Ability to work at pace in a changing and ambiguous environment
- Strong organisational skills
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience
