About the Role

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our Prevention team as a Senior Relationship Manager.  

As a key member of the National Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP), you will play a critical role in relationship management with our stakeholders. You will engage closely with NCSP stakeholders to enable high quality delivery of cervical screening services as we work towards elimination of cervical cancer in Aotearoa.

The Senior Relationship Manager will lead, provide strategic guidance, and advise on a wide range of quality, training, service delivery, funding and accountability activities.

This is a national role that manages and leads the interface and relationship with key stakeholders, to ensure that the National Cervical Screening Programme is delivered, and any changes that present opportunities or challenges to the programme are well managed with the providers.

Whilst the location of this role is flexible, some travel may be required.

About you

As one of our Senior Relationship Managers, you will establish and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels. You have experience working in complex environments, and the ability to lead, coach and mentor people in a positive way. You are someone able to demonstrate mature communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write and present effectively, and to develop, unify and maintain strong internal and external relationships essential for achieving sustainable outcomes.

Skills and Experience

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a health or relevant field and/or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of and experience in working with Māori and Pacific communities
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor staff and stakeholders, and to work with people at all levels within the health sector
  • Significant experience implementing quality standards to be able to monitor and measure performance during programme change
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and with authority
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to problem solve, always looking for creative ways to improve
  • Proven strategic leadership skills that support project/service design, development and implementation, apply critical thinking to develop options and provide advice.
  • Significant experience managing and influencing key stakeholders' expectations across all levels of the health sector
  • Ability to work in complex environments and with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
  • Significant experience in complex problem solving through to resolution
  • Adaptive to change and responsive to feedback
