Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a qualification in a relevant field or a carpentry background, with at least 4 years of experience working with 1st or 2nd tier contractors. Our Client brings a nationwide presence meaning they have the capacity to undertake projects throughout much of New Zealand and have a strong secure pipeline of works!
Working with one of New Zealand's most successful Main Contractors, their Wellington team has a proven history of delivering high quality commercial construction projects safely, on time and on budget.
They have the ability to deliver across the complete range of building projects, and in this role, you are likely to work on commercial construction new builds but will also be expected to be able to manage seismic strengthening, apartment, healthcare or institutional projects.
What are we looking for?
- Trade or professional construction qualification.
- Minimum of five years' experience working as a Site Manager in commercial construction in NZ.
- Effective working knowledge of NZ building regulations and construction methodologies.
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to influence subcontractors and project partners in a positive manner.
- Ability to programme and plan work.
Salary negotiable circa $130K - $150K plus vehicle, dependent on your level of experience.
