Key Responsibilities
- Design and assess residential structures, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Provide expert advice and collaborate with builders, designers, and project teams.
- Work alongside the wider group companies to deliver integrated solutions.
- Explore innovative engineering solutions rather than defaulting to standard approaches.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members (for leadership candidates).
- Conduct site visits, attend client meetings, and provide on-site engineering support.
- Utilise industry-leading software such as Space Gass, Check Wind, WorkflowMax2, and Bluebeam.
- CPEng qualification with Engineering NZ is mandatory (must be able to sign off projects for a small team).
- Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset.
- Practical and approachable, able to engage effectively with builders and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in meetings and site visits.
- Experience with light gauge steel structures is advantageous.
- Highly competitive salary, starting from $120K, up to $200K package for leadership candidates.
