About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (CPEng qualified) to play a pivotal role in growing the structural engineering division. This position offers flexibility, you can be a hands-on expert or take on a leadership role to manage and scale the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and assess residential structures, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Provide expert advice and collaborate with builders, designers, and project teams.
  • Work alongside the wider group companies to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Explore innovative engineering solutions rather than defaulting to standard approaches.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members (for leadership candidates).
  • Conduct site visits, attend client meetings, and provide on-site engineering support.
  • Utilise industry-leading software such as Space Gass, Check Wind, WorkflowMax2, and Bluebeam.
Skills & Experience
  • CPEng qualification with Engineering NZ is mandatory (must be able to sign off projects for a small team).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset.
  • Practical and approachable, able to engage effectively with builders and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in meetings and site visits.
  • Experience with light gauge steel structures is advantageous.
