Key Responsibilities
- Design, assess, and sign off residential and modular structures in compliance with NZ standards.
- Provide practical, solutions-focused engineering advice to builders, architects, and project teams.
- Collaborate closely with Revit technicians and the design manager to deliver coordinated, high-quality outcomes.
- Lead and mentor junior team members as the business grows.
- Conduct site inspections, attend client meetings, and provide on-site engineering input.
- Champion innovative approaches rather than defaulting to standard templates.
- Use tools such as Space Gass, Check Wind, WorkflowMax2, and Bluebeam.
- CPEng with Engineering New Zealand (mandatory) – you must be able to sign off work independently.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable engaging with clients, builders, and stakeholders in person and on site.
- Collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in being part of a tight-knit team.
- Experience in residential or modular projects is highly desirable.
- Salary circa $150K (negotiable depending on experience).
