About the Role:
This is a key senior role within the team where you’ll be leading and managing residential structural projects from concept to completion. You’ll work alongside architects, developers, and other engineers, taking ownership of your work and mentoring junior team members as needed.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead and deliver a range of residential projects including high-end homes and medium-density housing
- Engage with clients and stakeholders directly, building trust through technical capability and communication
- Review and sign off designs and documentation
- Mentor and support graduate and intermediate engineers
- A Bachelor of Engineering from Auckland or Canterbury University (or Washington Accord, overseas equivalent)
- CPEng with Engineering New Zealand (or working toward it)
- 7+ years’ experience in Structural Engineering, ideally within residential structures in NZ
- Strong knowledge of NZ codes and standards
- Ability to lead projects independently and provide mentorship to junior staff
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
