Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

To support us in our ongoing transformation work, we have an opportunity for a savvy, technically sound and passionate Test Automation Engineer at a senior level. This Wellington based position is available on an open term basis and is a fantastic opportunity to join our team on a challenging programme of technical work.

Using your proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer, you'll use SaFe / Devops methodology to test, implement, and support Enterprise software solutions to enhance business products in our enterprise value stream.

As a squad member, you'll collectively deliver your products and have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the design, creation, testing and maintenance of the product as well as providing fail and fix application support.  Our squads are agile, impactful and collaborate effectively and efficiently, thanks to our strong focus on team culture, professional development, and continuous improvement.

At a Senior level, you'll have the ability to support and lead engineering discussions and with your overall quality assurance and robust test automation skills, mentor, and coach other squad members. You'll commit to promoting our culture of collaboration with both your squad members, squad leads, architects, practice leads and our key stakeholders during Programme Increment (PI) planning and during the creation of iteration plans, team PI objectives, release and release planning and product backlog. Helping you to achieve this will be your strong communication skills which will see you influence others in the programme and build a strong consensus behind your ideas and commitments.  

 

He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience

If the above roles sound appealing and you feel you have knowledge of a range of technical skills including some of the following:

  • Experience in modern Quality Assurance and testing practices.
  • Test automation frameworks, tools and execution.
  • Understanding of low code development platforms such as Appian or Pega ideal but not essential.
  • Source control using git and GitHub.
  • Experience in common tool chain elements such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience in Testing tools such as React Testing Library, Jest, Playwright, Postman.
  • Containerisation using Docker.
  • Experience working agile delivery environments, preferably using Scaled Agile and DevOps.
  • A continuous improvement focused mindset.

 

The expected appointment range for this role is between $130,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience.
