We are recruiting for Senior Vetting Analysts in Wellington or Auckland. We are looking for talented and professional individuals from diverse backgrounds who have excellent interpersonal skills and a good range of life experience. 

NZSIS has a statutory mandate to conduct security vetting in New Zealand on behalf of all government agencies. The role of a Senior Vetting Analyst is to conduct background investigations into nominated government employees and contractors in order to assess suitability to hold a national security clearance. 

A Senior Vetting Analyst is also responsible for providing expert guidance and support for Vetting Analysts conducting security assessments. This includes quality assurance and development and delivery of training to new and upskilling analysts.

To be successful in this role you will need to display excellent judgement, as well as enjoy working collaboratively to solve problems and make decisions. You will also possess the following qualities: 

• Proven interviewing skills (face to face and/telephone)
• Demonstrated ability to deliver coaching, training and feedback
• Experience in investigative and analysis work
• An ability to make well informed and open minded assessments with regard to differing lifestyles, backgrounds and cultures
• Excellent self-management skills with the ability to be flexible and prioritise in the face of a demanding work load
