About the opportunity:

Our client is an expert air conditioning, ventilation solutions provider to clients across Auckland and its surrounds. They currently have a significant opportunity to be part of an established and growing Service and Maintenance team. This role will require a customer-focused and professional individual who is driven to succeed personally and as a team.

Role description:

The primary purpose of this position is to service and maintain a variety of air conditioning and ventilation systems/equipment. You will be reporting directly to the Service & Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Service, repair and maintenance of air conditioning and ventilation systems
  • Fault diagnosis
  • Communicating confidently with clients as required to best represent the company
  • Maintaining accurate service records and providing excellent customer service
  • Taking a leadership role on site
  • Driving the development of junior technicians/apprentices
  • Installation work from time to time (splits / ducted / fans etc)

This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

  • 5+ years overall experience, with previous experience in a similar role
  • Trade qualified or equivalent
  • Current Drivers license
  • Limited Electrical Certificate
  • A positive can-do attitude and ability to work well under pressure
  • Great people skills with a willingness to build great relationships (internal and external)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
