About the role 

We are looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join our Client Services Team for 12-months fixed term to cover a team member going on maternity leave.

The Client Services team is part of the Information Services group and is responsible for 1st and 2nd level Service Desk support. The team is also the custodian of NZQA's device fleet.

In this Level 1 role, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all service requests and incidents are logged and resolved in a timely manner.
  • This may include the engagement of other teams as required, providing customers with a consistent level of service.
  • Logging all requests and incidents via online support channels including phone and email.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the value Client Services delivers and champions them, including identification of recurring issues.
  • Documenting instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, removal and keeping asset management processes, procedures and registers up to date.

Skills and experience

If you enjoy working in a team, can demonstrate a willingness and aptitude for learning IT, have great customer service skills, good at building relationships and have at least 12 months Service Desk experience supporting Windows and Office 365, then this role is for you!
