Job Description

We are searching for a high-performing M&E Services Engineer to add value and experience to a flagship project. The applicant will have a proven track record of taking ownership for delivering services on a commercial site. You will work in a collaborative team environment, with support from your colleagues.

You will be responsible for the delivery of services throughout all phases of construction. Services include lifts, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, communications, access control, fire alarms, fire sprinklers and BMS. Construction phases include pre-construction, value engineering, construction, commissioning and client training.

The salary for the position is in the range of $120-150k, dependent on experience.

Key tasks

Managing subcontractors and staff to meet budget and programme.
Managing QA and QA processes through all phases of construction.
Writing programmes, procurement schedules, commissioning plans and seeing them successfully executed.
Responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the trades.
Chair Services Coordination meetings and manage the coordination and flow of information between client consultants and subcontractors.
Responsible for coordinating the seismic, passive fire requirements as they relate to the trades listed above. This includes managing site inspections with consultants (progressive, commissioning and witnessing), architects and local authorities. Tracking and delivery of completion documents and Producer statements from both subcontractors and consultants.
As part of the constructions team, work with construction managers, foresee and communicate issues that may arise between services trades/design and other trades.

You'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Minimum 5 years' site management experience on commercial
Proven MEP / Building Services Experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Leadership
Collaborator and positive thinker
NZ citizen, permanent resident or hold NZ work visa
