About the Role

We are seeking a Site QA Manager with a strong mechanical or electrical background and significant construction QA management experience. You will be responsible for leading all quality assurance activities on-site during the construction and commissioning phases.

This is a key role reporting to the Project Manager, ensuring all QA systems are in place and complied with throughout the project lifecycle—from installation through to commissioning readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Site Quality Assurance Management Plan tailored to the project scope.
  • Manage and oversee all on-site QA processes, ensuring subcontractor work meets required standards.
  • Monitor and supervise subcontractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), including coordinating and verifying hold points with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review, approve, and control construction QA documentation, ensuring all systems are QA-complete and ready for handover to commissioning.
  • Lead QA interface for commissioning preparation, including reviewing and approving commissioning QA records and supporting smooth transition to operations.
  • Report regularly to the Project Manager on QA performance, risks, and compliance issues.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Trade or tertiary qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering(or related discipline).
  • Proven QA management experience on large-scale industrial or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of QA systems, ITP processes, and construction documentation requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience working closely with subcontractors, engineers, and client representatives on-site.
  • Experience in power generation, geothermal, or energy sector projects is highly regarded.
