Our client is a reputable electrical company with over 35 years of experience in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions, specialising in commercial and industrial electrical work. Known for their expertise in high-end projects, they are currently managing a significant undertaking in central Tauranga that is set to begin in 2025. This growth presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced site lead to join their dynamic team.
About the Role:
In the role of site lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all site operations and managing a skilled team of electricians and apprentices. Reporting directly to the company directors, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and Implementation: Developing detailed work schedules and resource plans to streamline project execution.
- Quality Control: Conducting regular inspections and assessments of electrical work to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Coordinating effectively with other trades, consultants, and architects to facilitate smooth project flow and address any issues that arise.
- Mentorship: Guiding and mentoring apprentices, fostering their growth, and ensuring they adhere to best practices in safety and workmanship.
Skills and Experience:
- EWRB Registered: Current registration with the Electrical Workers Registration Board is essential.
- Commercial Experience: A proven track record in managing commercial electrical projects and leading teams effectively.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Advanced problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and compliance regulations.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and maintain clear project documentation.
- Safety Commitment: A proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring all work complies with industry regulations and best practices.
- Process Adherence: Strictly following standard operating procedures to maintain quality and efficiency.
