About the Role
As a Sonographer, you will provide a safe and efficient ultrasound service in the clinical environment completing full examinations and recommending techniques for patient care.
We have two permanent part-time roles available working 56 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE) and 32 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE); both located at Nelson Hospital. The Start and Finish times are flexible between 8.00AM to 8.00PM, working rostered and rotating shifts. On-call is required.

About you
As a Sonographer, you will have:
- Some experience in general, vascular, upper abdomen, obstetric, gynaecologic, and musculo-skeletal areas
- NZ registration and a current annual practising certificate in Ultrasound.
- Excellent technical skills and knowledge.
- Well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to family centred care.
- Be capable of working independently and within a small team.
- A strong commitment to quality healthcare.
You will also be versatile and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
