Job Title: Specialist Adviser, Extension Resource Development
Role type: Permanent
Location: Wellington
Salary Range, GSR C: $117,035 to $156,888 depending on skills and experience
Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
The Specialist Adviser Extension Resource Development is responsible for creating and delivering a comprehensive engagement framework and the supporting resource materials required for the On Farm Support Directorate.
Duties will include:
- Managing creation and delivery of resource materials, collateral, and copy for On Farm Support advisory functions.
- Considering, assessing, and effectively managing any relevant issues that are likely to impact on the ability to adequately deliver Advisory and/or Extension material
- Application of good project management principles by planning, documenting, and reporting on key progress steps, including risk analysis
- Building and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to identify and share best practices and promote the Ministry, its products, and services
Mōu - About You
The Specialist Adviser position requires an experienced professional who can create and manage a proactive approach, establishing strong processes and systems to ensure the successful delivery of the framework in collaboration with several MPI functional teams
Our ideal candidate will also display:
- Experience in Extension Resource development.
- Project and event management experience.
- Experience working with extension services within a relevant industry.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and communications.
- Knowledge of strategic and business planning processes.
- Ability to quickly grasp and communicate complex issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
