An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and dedicated nurse to join the team at Waitakere Hospital ED as a Specialty Nurse.
In this role, you will serve as a patient-centered expert who promptly recognizes deteriorating patients, intervenes effectively, and provides advanced nursing support through skilled and confident practice.
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse seeking to progress into a senior clinical role. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical expertise and exemplary skills in Emergency and Acute Care, along with the ability to develop innovative, evidence-based approaches to meet the dynamic demands of emergency patient care. Our Emergency Department places great importance on fostering a positive team culture, and Clinical Nurse Specialists are expected to possess broad knowledge and experience relevant to their patient population.
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Current registration and APC with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an emergency nursing role
- RN Level 4 qualification (or equivalent, in progress acceptable)
- Postgraduate certificate in the specialty area is advantageous
