About the Role

As a Sterilising Technician, you will work within the perioperative services providing wards and departments, including Theatre, with all sterile stock requirements. You would be expected to maintain adequate supplies of backup stock, maintain efficient decontamination and sterilising service for all wards and departments, including Theatre and provide external customers with their sterile stock supplies.

About you

  • Good numeric and literacy skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Well-developed understanding of Occupational Health and Safety principles and their application in the workplace

Desired

  • Completion of Certificate in Sterilising Technology
  • Competent Person under Unit Standards 31290.1 and 31293.1
  • Effective application of Infection Control principles
  • Experience working in a sterilising unit
  • Working knowledge of policies and procedures relating to sterilisation processes
