We are seeking a reliable and skilled Storeperson to join a local hydraulic trades service company in Invercargill. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, overseeing parts ordering, receiving stock into the store and handling freight and dispatch operations. You will draw on your experience to ensure accurate and timely stock management as well as basic trade and technical knowledge to assist across the workshop as required.
Competent forklift operations and customer service ability is crucial, as you will be interacting with a range of clients and suppliers regularly. For the successful applicant, there is also the opportunity to further develop a trade career into a Hydraulic Technician with mentorship and training on offer.

Key Tasks:
- Manage and maintain stock, ensuring accurate records
- Oversee parts ordering and ensure timely procurement of stock
- Co-ordinate and package freight and dispatch with a focus on efficient and accurate delivery processes
- Utilise technical skills to understand product specifications and requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist in the workshop with assembly/disassembly and various trade and maintenance tasks
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in inventory management and store operations
- Strong skills in parts ordering and knowledge of freight and dispatch procedures
- Technical skills related to basic trade product knowledge and logistics
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small collaborative team
- Forklift experience - ideally with both FOSH and F endorsement
