About the opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established Wellington-based supplier of premium meats and small goods. As the Supply Chain and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations across production, scheduling, inventory, and customer service in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.


Role description:

In this role, you will oversee production scheduling, inventory management, and financial operations while ensuring the production process runs smoothly. You will also liaise with customers to meet KPIs and provide support wherever needed within a small, dynamic team.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and managing the production team to ensure smooth operations.

  • Driving production scheduling and planning to meet timelines.

  • Maintaining spreadsheets and systems (pivot tables, inventory management).

  • Processing accounting functions such as invoicing and payments.

  • Ensuring customer communications and KPIs are met.


This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background/experience/qualities:

  • Strong financial and systems experience (excel/spreadsheets).

  • Experience in a production or inventory/stock management environment.

  • A "whatever it takes" attitude and the ability to pitch in.

  • Over 5 years of experience in a relevant field.

  • Strong team coordination and leadership skills.

  • Experience with inventory systems is a bonus (CIN 7 is ideal).

  • Background in food production or supply chain management is an advantage.
