Support Officer

General Salary Range band H: $61,965 to $71,810 depending on skills and experience
About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga
We are seeking a motivated administration professional to join the Wine Aussurance team as a support officer supporting the plant, wine & organic aussurance directorate in New Zealand Food Safety.
In the role, you will:
- provide general administrative and logistical support.
- provide secretariat services to support internal and external teams, committees or panels including meeting logistics, email account maintenance, meeting preparation and minute taking.
- assist with invoicing, personnel travel and purchase order processes.
- maintain hard copy and electronic files and the coordination and release of relevant information within specified deadlines.
- contribute to the delivery of technical outputs by assisting with the coordination of technical processes.
- identify any support relevant system and process improvement opportunities.
About You - Mōu
To be successful in this role, you will be comfortable in a busy office environment with good knowledge of administration and business support systems and processes.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as being computer literate in the use of MS Office products.
Importantly, you will be highly collaborative coupled with the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels. You will have well-development time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
You will be someone with a high degree of initiative, able to take on tasks as they arise supporting the business with a range of tasks with varying degrees of urgency.
Having an understanding of the New Zealand Food Safety system would be advantageous.

About the Team - Mō tō mātou Rōpū
The Assurance Directorate is made up of five teams: Agricultural Compounds including Veterinary Medicines, Chemical and Microbiological Assurance, Food and Live Animal Assurance, Plant, Wine and Organic Assurance and Systems Audits.
Together we provide an assurance framework that that underpins and enhances New Zealand's export trade in food and fibre.
This includes setting export standards and overseeing systems for certification, verification and monitoring.
You will report to the Team manager Wine Assurance which is a team comprised of Advisers and Senior Advisers. You will be 1 of a small team of 5, working with support officers across New Zealand Food Safety and help support each other if needed.
